At Caterhut, all equipment supplied is brand new and backed by a manufacturer’s
warranty for complete peace of mind.
What’s included
Unless
otherwise stated on the product listing or invoice, all products come with a minimum
1-year commercial parts-only warranty.

directly by the manufacturer unless stated otherwise - Coverage applies to UK

environmental factors (water, fire, voltage issues, etc.) - Loss of stock, food, or
business interruption

- Equipment must be installed and used in line with manufacturer guidelines
- Regular cleaning and
maintenance is required - Warranty claims may be
rejected if installation or usage is incorrect - Any engineer call-outs
not covered under warranty will be chargeable

Description
A £255 + Vat upfront payment is required to book a callout.
Once your visit is scheduled, you must ensure the premises are open and the engineer has full access to the kitchen. If access cannot be gained on arrival, an aborted visit fee will apply (first hour charge plus any parking and congestion costs).
Requests for specific arrival times or locations with restricted access are charged at a minimum of 4 hours.
Standard Callout Rates (08:30–17:00)
London
• £200 for the first hour
• £55 per additional 30 minutes
Outside London
• £170 for the first hour
• £45 per additional 30 minutes
Time-specific or restricted access visits
• Minimum charge: 4 hours
All prices exclude VAT.
Parking and congestion charges are added at cost.
Service Requirements & Important Information
Appliance Standards
• Appliances must be commercial grade, CE-approved, fit for purpose, and installed to a compliant standard.
• We do not work on domestic appliances, non-CE brands, spurious/unknown makes, obsolete units, or equipment in poor condition.
Working Hours
• Standard hours: Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:00.
• Repairs required outside these hours fall under out-of-hours rates.
Booking & Access
• All work requires prepayment.
• Wasted or aborted callouts are chargeable.
• If gas, water, or electrical services fail on arrival, the visit may be aborted and chargeable.
• Unless pre-arranged, engineers do not carry access equipment, hot-work tools, or movement equipment.
Parts & Materials
• All parts and materials used are chargeable.
Grease Management
• Repairs caused by severe grease build-up may not be possible.
Gas Appliance Compliance (Catering Sites)
Gas appliances must meet the following standards:
• CAIS23 rev1, BS6173, and DW172.
• Extraction and ventilation systems must be interlocked, compliant, and able to prove safe CO₂ levels with all appliances running.
• The canopy must meet current standards with 300mm overhang (250mm to gulley).
• Gas pipework must be correctly marked, fixed securely, fit for purpose, and include an independent manual isolation valve.
• Commercial hoses must be installed correctly, with a proper lazy loop, free from kinks and not touching floors or walls.
• All burners must be properly calibrated with correct combustion, aeration, and confirmed operating/supply pressures.
